The Benefits of Mentoring

Radio Pulpit

Radio Pulpit Management Development Programme (MDP)

The overall objective of the programme is to provide an opportunity for leaders and potential leaders to develop an authentic leadership approach.

More specifically: to create a learning environment in which emerging leaders can develop their potential.

To develop: self-esteem, decision-making, planning and administrative competence, communication skills, team excellence, basic financial proficiency, resource management, strategic thinking, conflict management and excellence in service delivery.

To assist senior management in their ability to adjust to the “new” climate created by the development programme, to understand the language and to act as mentors for the emerging leaders.

The Radio Pulpit Management Development Programme will be facilitated over an eighteen month period. The following are the main themes of the programme:

  • Personal excellence (Module 1 and 2)
  • Team excellence (Module 3 and 4)
  • Management excellence (Module 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9)
  • Service excellence (Module 10, 11 and 12)

A two-day mentorship training workshop will also be conducted for senior managers at Radio Pulpit.
